Self-nominated candidates' seats passed to United Russia members after the 26 April elections in Yakutia

On the past Sunday, 26 April, by-elections for deputies of the council of the Khalbakinsky Nasleg were held in Yakutia.

The current convocation of the representative body was elected in 2022 and consisted entirely of self-nominated candidates. In January and February 2026, four deputies resigned their powers on the basis of personal statements. Since one more deputy had left earlier, holding legitimate sessions of the council became impossible. To restore its work, by-elections were called by precinct election commission No. 169.

Seven registered candidates contested the five vacant mandates: five from United Russia and two self-nominated candidates.

Based on the voting results, all mandates went to the United Russia candidates.
