Last Sunday, 30 November, the Republic of Kalmykia held a postponed vote for the election of deputies of the Gashun rural municipal formation.
On the single voting day, 19 registered candidates were supposed to compete for ten deputy mandates. However, the day before, on 28 August, the district commission annulled the registration of all United Russia representatives, one candidate from the Communist Party (CPRF) and one independent. As a result, the election was postponed due to a shortage of candidates.
The press service of the regional branch of A Just Russia then issued a special statement saying that the candidates had withdrawn from the election on orders from above. To prevent vote falsification, the party called on voters to report if they were registered in the settlements of the municipal formation but did not reside there.
Whereas by the single voting day only eight United Russia candidates had been nominated and registered, their number now equalled the number of mandates — ten. In addition, nine candidates from A Just Russia and one independent took part in the election.
Following the vote, all mandates went to United Russia candidates.

After the single voting day of 14 September 2025, nine electoral campaigns for heads of municipalities have taken place. 21 candidates took part in them.
Elections of deputies to 43 local representative bodies have taken place, with 227 deputy mandates being filled.
